Marmaray project involves building of totally 44 km conventional railway construction as Halkalı-Kazlıçeşme 19 km and Pendik-Ayrılıkçeşme 24 km and electromechanical systems in both coasts of Istanbul. Ankara-İstanbul high speed train services ending in Pendik are extended until European Coast HHalkalı station as the project is completed. Gebze-Halkalı accesstime is reduced to 115 min.
